    Talking Fishing without sweating

Alright clear your mind a minute and imagine that soon just maybe we'll be able to fish without melting. I am sooooooooooo done with this summer, words cannot describe. I've got a mental picture going of standing in the boat with a jacket on, the fog coming off of the water at daybreak, topwater action going with bass chasing schools of shad. Ahhhhh just think it's coming.....

I just checked the 10 day forecast, and it looks like those days aren't too far away!

When I read the title, my first thought was Float N Fly season will be here SOON. Nothing like 5lb Brownfish on 6lb test line and a 10' flimsy rod for fun in the sun (I mean fun in the wintery, blizzardly, icy, rainy, snowy, never see the sun all day, slightly windy days on DALE HOLLOW) Bring on those Alberta Clippers for all I want for Christmas is a WHITE THANKSGIVING. Nothing like Turkey, Cranberry Sauce and Snowballs, now where is my winter gear.

Although I have had a good summer at CC I can't wait until the shivering is what puts the action in the shakey head and drop shot.

Come on worm, I did not mention one word about a heater. The coveralls I will let you have but no respecting winter fisherman uses a heater. Heck you might as well put the boat up for the winter and wait for spring as to light a propane heater on the boat. Just kidding, the heater comes in very handy at times especially on days when it is 8 degrees upon launch, yes that is 8 degrees I said and I was told that one particular fisherman on this board has video tape footage of me launching out of Horse Creek by myself last winter when it was 8 degrees. I just found this out last week for I did not know I was being video taped but supposively there is footage to prove the fact. I will say that I remember that morning well for it was COLD, I fished for 4 hours with nary a bite and took out around 11 and met Bobby Westmoreland for lunch. My heater was full tilt that morning and it barely made a difference. I will say that when it is 8 degrees at the time of launch, parking is not a problem and money says that you get your choice of spots when you put in before daylight on such mornings. All I want for xmas is a White Thanksgiving, a White Thanksgiving a White Thanksgiving, all I want for xmas is a .............. you can now stop singing for it is hurting my ears.
