I noticed the same at Rough. Some places below 20 was solid black and some places from surface to 15 ft were black with clear below. I didn't give it much thought, thought it was my DF messing arround.![]()

fished nolin saturday night,had a decent night no real big one 30 or so fish with a few in the 16inch range.i noticed in a few places and when running my f-finder screen would be solid black,some places in 20ft in would be black down to 12-15ft then clear to the bottom then some places were normal.
since a couple weeks ago when i was there it 90 degree water this weekend was 81.6 to 83.2.is there a turnover starting?ithink so but was just wondering if i am wrong.i didn't get there til after dark so i couldn't tell what the water looked like.

i just noticed hardly no bites were coming from the places where it was happening,then when i found a good place and it was clear we got bites.2 of my best brush pile that have give up a couple 4's and a few other keepers a few weeks ago we never had abite and they were black.

Sorry Steve, All i know about Nolin is how to get to moodydeer. But plan on fishing it more next year if I can pry away from Rough.
