Guest Creek Ramp

That's bull@#$%. That ramp has sucked ever since I can remember and they have done nothing to fix it. Even at summer pool it drops off on both sides. It is also steep which makes it a bit harder to launch by your self. If they really wanted to improve the ramp they could do it right now. You form up around the area and then you pump the water out of the area you are going to work on. It's not brain surgery to do it, but it is a private pamp with the ONLY place to launch on the entire lake, no competition keeps you behind times. Fix the ramp and quit talking about I would if the lake would drop more.

It does make sense that it COULD be done. So... what is your theory on why they don't do it?

the ramp is owned by the industrial foundation. they and the state of ky had the
lake built in 1961 and opened to fish in 1963. i have fished it since 1966. when
the last person that had the lease was let go the industrial foundation kept
the rights. they control the ramp and the campground.

So who profits from the launch fees? The people at the marina or some Fat Cat someplace else? Just my opinion, but the ramp is fine 99.9% most of the time. If you put WAY to much trailer in the water you might have problems. I guess to make everyone happy they will have to pour concrete all the way across to the island. LoL

Sorry for going off half-cocked there. I guess I've been carrying around a bad attitude the past couple days. A couple days of meditation, prayer, and fishing (probably not in that order), and I'll be okay. Again, I'm sorry for shooting my mouth (or fingers) off there.
