My Best Smallie

We were pre-fishing for the USA Bassin Classic at Douglas Lake in Tenn. and i caught a 3/12-4lb Smallie on a Rattletrap, that fished just didn't quit! We also caught several 12-15" Smallies, I can't imagine a 6lb or bigger fish. Hope to get out this Winter and learn from some of the Masters on here. Good luck fishing.

Wait till you get one of them fat 5 pluser's they will almost make you have to go to the chiropractor. I'm glad you guys got into some.

Get-R done, 3 over 6. I can almost hang with you on the fives, but three over six, that's awesome. good job.

Wait until you try landing one of those GIANTS on a FNF rod. I have a 6-4, 6-2, 5-15 (she was an even 6 when I held her into the wind, but 5-15 with my back to the wind) and approximately 15 or so more over 5 all landed on the fly plus NUMEROUS 3+ pounders landed in the winter at Dale. The bigger fish are fun to catch but for the pure enjoyment of the fight, the 3 1/2 pounders are the best. You will get the fast burst of speed plus the jumping plus some bulldogging as well with the 3 1/2 pounders. Lost one that was and EASY 7 a couple of February's ago and I will never forget that fish for she was a MONSTER. Chunknwind says she was 8 but we will never know for she was defineately an easy 7 for sure. Nothing like the fight of Them Big Ol Brownfish that is for certain. Bring on those Alberta Clippers.

The brown fish are by far my favorite! My best one came last year about this time. I caught a 6 pounder on a zara spook. It was probably my favorite fish of the year. I wish I knew how to target them a little better, I usually catch 4 or 5 largemouth to every smallie. I am looking forward to learning about Float and Fly this winter. Horn reed not broke, don't fix it!!! Don't hate the player just because Big Ol Brownfish jump into my boat in the winter. Anyone that fishes on the days that I fish deserves to be rewarded in one way or another.

All this fnf talk is driving me CRAZY!! I can't wait to PRAY my 4lb line gets another 5lber in the boat, maybe even that new record smallie.

My biggest fnf is a 5.4 at the Big-C, biggest ever 7.2 at Ky Lake on a C-rig. Yes, both were released.
