Yeah yeah...luck was not with me that day...I did go out with Brandon that evening to show him stuff, I figured I could at least share some info with the guy and help a fellow Kentucky college guy out. Yes, UK and UL CAN work together for the greater good of the state!

That trip/show was my first real experience smallmouth fishing, and believe me landing those dudes is a heck of a lot different than largemouth! I finally figured out the best way to do it, unfortunately I figured it out the day after my match...I had no idea if you simply place your palm under the fish and apply light pressure to the belly, they go limp! I couldn't believe it! I learned a lot about smallmouth fishing that week, and that Lake Oneida is definitely worth another trip back! That fishery is amazing!

XPS Fluoro is NOT abrasion resistant! Especially against Zebra mussels! Talk about a bad day to learn that lesson!

If luck would have been with me that day, it would have definitely been a UK/UL showdown...put that in your pipe and smoke it!
