Pretty easy to figure where that ledge is but the point about it being May is correct, you can bet that area of the lake will get dredged every weekend for the next year trying to find that one spot... lol. Maybe it wont hurt it tho the ledge Clausen was banging them on is pretty much covered up every weekend

Didn't they say the spot was in the mouth of Big Sandy?

I figure if you fish that far south, you probably do recognize the area.

I've even thought of getting a TN license for next year just to make that long run and try it!! LOL

Here is what I have heard about the spoon from someone who should know. It is just under 5" long but the kicker is it just shy of 1 ounce. Supposedly his are made by a friend of his in Texas. The price I heard he gets for them is unbelievable. A few of the KY lake pros have been throwing it this summer with varied results. Not the magic lure like a banjo minnow but is something different for the arsenal.

I was in Texas a few years ago fishing with a friend that lived just a few miles from lake fork and he was useing a spoon that looked alot like that one. don't know if it was the same lure or not, but they were only sold at one bait shop on the lake and they were very expensive. I brought one back to ky. with me and only used it a couple times and ended up loseing it.

How about that? Almost 22lbs in two hours and won by .06 of a pound. Congrats to Duckett, I was rooting for Jordon and was in disbelief when the result was announced. They both deserve the win though.

It is a shame all fishermen don't have Boyd's ethics especially tournament fishermen.

It was just a great show to watch for a final. I wish all the fishing shows that show competition like this in a Bass Tournament were run as smooth. My hats off to Joe Thomas and the rest of the UMF staff for putting on another great season to watch.

Now when is this College UMF going to start?

I'm dreading the day that show airs...there's a certain scene that continues to haunt me on a daily basis...and probably will for a long time!

Just wait! It's going to be exciting!
