I had the 175, and it was great. I never had a problem out of it. From my own experience and everything I have heard Tracker's are extremely reliable. They may cost a little more than other alluminum's, but in my opinion they are worth it. Plus they have a fairly high re-sale value too. If I were to ever get another alluminum boat - It would be a tracker.
Thanks for your opinion. I always like to research any purchase I make, these types of forums make it a lot easier.
Here is my 2 cents. I purchased an All Fish about 6 weeks ago and am very pleased with it. Had a 1987 Tracker TX17 fore 8 years before. We fish for a little of everything, bass, bluegill, crappie, and stripes. The boat is setup to fish for about anything. There is not as much of a rear casting deck as in a regular bass boat and the crooked seat post takes a little getting use to. You can smack the motor with the corner of the seat. My wife has gotten all that figured out now.
The reason I like the boat is that you have room for 3 or 4 adults or a couple of adults and the kids. If it was just me and a partner bass fishing all the time, I would have gone with a Pro 175 or 190, or the V18.
I was thinking of making a pod to put in the back deck are to make it larger when just a buddy and I are fishing but taking it out when the family wants to go. I don't think it would be that hard to make. My reasoning for wanting the boat is very similar to yours. A lot of room for the family without the price of a fish and ski. What motor did you get with it? And did you get any extra seats? Here is my 2 cents. I purchased an All Fish about 6 weeks ago and am very pleased with it. Had a 1987 Tracker TX17 fore 8 years before. I got the 90 2 stroke. It will run about 40-41 on speedometer, 39.0- 39.5 on GPS, @ 5000 RPM. They priced an extra seat at $279, so i just got a Wise Plush Pro seat ($50) for the front. I also thought about fixing something to enlarge the rear deck and have not tried anything as of yet. Take a look at the Pro Crappie 175. It has a folding deck that you might get some ideas from. Going to KY Lake with the family next weekend. I'll let you know how it does with 4 adults.
