Hey Danny, i am in mount washington, just south of louisville. I have been checking into the FOM, looks like they have a legacy division, which is fathers and sons/daughters, that would be great for us. Thanks for your help.Hey Wishin,
Where are you located? That will make a big decision in what type of organization you fish.
Also, you could fish some of the open tournaments, like the 5 hour tournament on Saturdays at Nolin. I'm hoping to get into those as soon as I can. They plan on them all winter, it appears.
Plus there is the fishers of men, the FOCUS tournaments, lots of them, just depends on where you want to fish.

wishin,
I've been to Mt. Washington many times. A great place.
I wish I could be more help, but don't know much about partner tournaments up there.
Hopefully we will see each other out on the lake sometime.

USA Bassin has several divisions here in Kentucky. Like KY-1 said, There is no membership fee for children up to 16 years old.
I run the Green River Lake division and another Board member (SecretWeapon .. aka Justin Hires) runs the Guist Creek Lake division. Coming from just south of Louisville, Guist Creek should be fairly close to home for you.
We have not determined our 2008 schedules yet, but those will be set in December. As for my division, our tournaments are always on Saturdays. I will be scheduling them one per month, March - July.
You mentioned Fishers of Men. I fished with them for a few years and really liked it. The tournaments are very well run. I liked that in fishing with them you fish more of the lakes in Kentucky (whereas with my division you compete on one lake all year, then go to a bigger lake for the regional and classic).
Feel free to e-mail or call me if you have any questions or would like more information.

It is a great place to live, but in the 6 years i have been there, the population has exploded, seems like every piece of land is now either a subdivision, or becoming one. The small town feel is still there, but i dont know for how long.
