Anyone know some good grass areas for bass somewhere in the northern half of Barkley? Thanks a mill!

Oh there's some grass on northern Barkley alright...just gotta know where to look.![]()
I fish mid-Barkley a lot (Dryden to the bridge) and there is no grass to speak of in that area of the lake. Back in the late 80s in the last grass boom there was a lot of grass south of the bridge on Barkley especially south of Donaldson but I haven't been down there this summer to see if any grass is there. I can't imagine much grass to the north but stranger things have happened.

To focus on a good consisten grass bite that will last more than the first few hours of the day, you have to find the milfoil.....Which does not grow on barkley....Yes there are various types of bank growing grasses, and yes you can catch a few fish out of it here and there but I would not call them beds....if if grows along the bank, I don't consider it a bed, just bank grass. Unless the fish are extremely shallow and the weather is just right, that bank grass will not hold fish all day, at least thats in my experience.
