Flathead- @ Barren partner had one boatside, so big he wasn't able to lift it in the boat. 2nd attempt with both hands behind the gills the cat started shaking, and he was forced to drop it, and his line broke. Looked like a 50 # fish to me. I would not have let him keep it in the boat anyway. Never would have got that smell out of the carpet.
Gosh, with some of the sizes reported for the smallies, I am itching to begin targeting them more often. So far I have only targeted them once, but with reports like this one, 6.1 lbs, those have to be some fun fish to get to the boat.
Way to go guys, and way to give the rest of us some numbers to shoot at. (yes, I know it is poor grammar to end a sentence with a preposition, but just too lazy to rewrite the sentence...lol)

Chris ,where abouts on the Ohio are you at ??? I fish the Falls area around Lou. We could sure get out and and go cat huntin...WE get many 50#s + in this area. It's kind of a natural stopping point on the river for many different spieces...Chuck
I live outside Brandenburg, I fish from the Falls down to Slim Island it is in Henderson County. Fav spot to fish is the Cannelton ****.
