Got my old knee pads out from my roofing days, for giving thanks and asking for more help. We have a lot of family in east Texas, Houston area. they started carrying life jackets in the cars down there. West Louisiana the same way flooding every couple of weeks bad even for them. I saw a farmer disking a feild he was kicking up a 150 foot dust cloud behind him. I thought about that old movie the grapes of wrath, and the dust bowl. ponds so dry small fish with fins sticking out of the water. The Governor of Michigan said she would not allow any other state access to lake michigan no matter what. A very large statement to be making. Sportsmen have been the stewards of our natural resources for many years now our taxes and licenses make up one of the largest tax bases on one of the smallest groups in the country and we pay without complaining all that much. It may be time for some others to step up to special uses fees along with us. Green houses, car washes, pay for use swimming pools, water parks, and golf courses with extensive irrigation systems. Lets pray for God's helping hand and mans own God given gifts to help our selves with common sense and a will to use those gifts.

That governor in michigan isn't being mean, the great lakes are also shrinking, at a fast rate. My son moved to atlanta twenty years ago, the area he moved to has tripled in size, and yet there are folks who ignore sprinkling bans because they need to have those great looking lawns.I live in fear that some jerk here dosn't decide to have a little fire to burn some brush, because I'm wooded on all sides with a narrow egress road. But when the rains come, they need to be more than just a one or two day affair.
