Been fishing it for about 2 weeks now, and been catching good limits of Sauger but no Walleye. Have been told of good Walleye being caught, but I have not got any. Fished it today and got -3- 15-16 inch Sauger. They ran 3generators today, not seen that for a while, this made it hard for me to fish the way that I have been. Only been running one generator everytime I been down up until today.
I have been catching them on Crawdad Shad Raps (Broken Back), Crawdad #5Shadraps, Clown X-Raps, and Minnows. Hope this helps. Please let me know how you did.

Were you fishing near the dam and from a boat or from the shore? Never spent any time fishing there, but I did walk down from the publick area this spring with my spinning rod and gave a couple of lures to the greater cumberland.Been fishing it for about 2 weeks now, and been catching good limits of Sauger but no Walleye. I have been fishing out of a boat and right if front of the dam where the discharge is. But if they are running more then one generator, it really hard to control the boat. If you dont know it that well, please go with someone who does. That river can be un-forgiving at times, and by all means have a life jacket on. If they are running more then one genertor, get next to the wing dam, in the calm water and toss a crank bait next to the current, you should pick up a few Sauger that way. Have a few minnows handy.
I know the river purty good now, been fishing it for years, if you want to learn it a little, let me know and we can float it down a few miles. I had a guy do this for me, so I dont care at all to pass on what he taught me. I am retiring soon, so I should be able to go about any time toward the end of the month.
