Update on David Young (Ky lake boater)

I talked to a close family friend earlier, He told me that David has sever head trama,around 200 staples in his head,face,neck,and back he has a broken sternum,2 broken ribs,a busted spleen (I think) also the 2 vertabre (spelling)at the base of his skull that seems to be what the doctors are the most concerned with,they will be doing surgery on Monday as long as the swelling has gone down. Now as far as all that being correct that is what I was told by the family friend who was there the last couple of days. He also said he picked up Davids boat and that from the keel to the transom was busted out and the motor was ripped off and slamed David into the dash. I've only known David for about 3 or 4 years but he is a great guy and I willl keep him and his family in my prayers I will also post any new info I get I'm calling again Monday to get an update.

Thanks for the update, I know many are worried and wondering about David. He is a great man and a fantastic fisherman. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he recovers.

Another reminder to always wear your lifejacket and keep safety first. Thankfully David was not ejected and had help close by.

There was a coangler in the boat but I think he is ok. This was an accident during the Bfl regionial on Ky Lake theres a small story on FLW's site.
