Boys as of this morning I've had 4 inches and it's still falling like crazy. Before this one is done we may be pumping basements and riding in jonboats in the streets. We needed rain but WOW. They are saying maybe another 3 to 4 inches this week.

Bring it on. After spending the week on the creek and river we need all we can get. I've never seen the river this low. The fishing was awesome though. And it was also awesome in the creek, but the creek's at meathog level. And that's bad.

I'll take all that's gonna come this week..... The more the merrier...... My new automatic sump pump is working just great...Works off the Main water line coming into the house. When it detects water in the basin, it pumps it out, no more floats not working and my basement flooding like last year......![]()
I am headed to KY lake Wednesday-Sunday, what will this do to the fish?
..I would say fishing down there should really pick up after this..fish have been hovering around waiting on temps to drop and those bigger shad schools to move in...this should do the trick..hopefully it wont muddy up too much...
5 inches here at my house since yesterday morning. Man we needed this so bad. before last thursday it hadn't rained here in 7 weeks. It always went around us. I bet the corps at Rough are pulling their hair out about now though lol. Fishing should get real good now pretty much everywhere. Now I need a boat to fish in.
Screw the jon boat, I am taking my bass boat out in the street! Ha. Might catch more there than have been in the lake! Bring on the rain though!
we've had close to 4 here and the rivers are hardly running.I would say if it stay slow, like it has here,we could get 10 inches and use it.I went farm ponding yesterday in what few havn't dried up,we had 1.6 inches and i didn't get my feet muddy. The tractor barely made tracks taking hay out.
contrary to other opinions, bring on the rain and the mud, now i don't fish kentucky all that much, but barkley needs some color.. the fish are right on the brink of working the shallow rock banks (3-6') and some murky water would get that going good... if there is color, i would crank most of the day, especially if the pressure is low, if it's high, go find some schooling shad (there are tons of them on all of the mud flats i have been on) and throw a fluke(white or silver)
