I haven't been fishing for about two weeks so I don't know what the bite has been; however, I would think that after the second front from this weather system passes throught on Friday and some high pressure and clear blue skys sets in, it should shut them down for awhile.
As to the turnover, a look at the a few lakes listed on the COE site shows that Taylorsville, Green, Nolin and Barren all had (10/15/07) a surface temperature in the low 70s with a probable thermalcline at arouund 67-69 degrees, so I think that this cooler weather, especially with the night time temps in the 40s, the turnover should start early next week. That will shut them down for sure but hang on in about two to three weeks--Fall Feeding Frenzy here we go.
Fall Feeding Frenzy will be a little late this year, but better land then never.
Just my thoughts,
Grumpy
