The gar in the river are Alligator Gar and Im sure the record for them is alot more . I checked the DNR web site but all the have listed is the long nose gar so I dont know about the gator gars but like Ive said - trash fish .
I'm just stating what the Ky.digest said the record for longnose gar is and where it was caught! It is an old record I believe 1956? And I'm with John [fisheater] on this one ,they are a blast to catch. Does the Wabash river run into the Ohio?
