I have an 8' rod that is ok I guess but my go to is a 5'6" Wally Marshall.

We used 12 footers that came from Bass Pro down at reelfoot this past week. Really nice rods once you get the hang of them.Did manage to catch a few fish. I guess they had what you call a spider rig set up on the front of the boat. Caught one crappie that was about 1 1/2 pounds that really caught me by surprise and lucky to have got it in on that 12 foot rod. May try the same set up next spring if I can manage to get back there again. I have also seen them use the same set up on Kentucky Lake. Would love to give it a try there.
