I haven't fished there is many yeas so I won't pretend to know where and what the fish are biting. I can say that you will love this lake. The beauty of Dale Hollow is hard to match and harder to forget. I guess a 7 lb smallmouth might make you take your mind and eyes off the scenery! Just don't forget to have a TN fishing license if you venture too far into their waters.
    Enjoy!

I use 3"curly tail grub w/ natural colors. Grey, smoke or alittle light blue to it. Mornings top water baits. Mid day, relax find bait fish and drift live bait through them. Watch your poles. I had a brother-in-law lose his pole doing this. I'll be down there Wednesday thru Sunday. good luck

water temp is 64-65 around the state dock, if you can get someone around the lake to help you, on how to fish the live bait, they sell large shinners off the dock at the state marina, you wont regret the results, (shad of course would be first choice)

other than the high sky we have early morning will produce concentrate hardest on early fishing, sunday I saw a lot of bass boats on the flats cant be much help I fish live bait here good luck

Just spent a week down there. Water temps around 66 just about everywhere on the lake. Did my best on blue chrome rattle shads in shallow grass. worked the backs and all the way out of the creeks. also worked transition banks with jigs. top water on early around the grass with a spook or spitin image. make sure to give it a pause for about 10 seconds after moving it some. try to start it as close to the grass as possible. of course, follow the wind. find the creeks with wind blowing in them as that seemed to make the bigger fish hold in the grass.

    Best of luck!
