I hereby recommend a law that makes it illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to GET SHOT. To get shot, you'd have to be atleast 22 years of age. Having some time in boots, I too hate to think a soldier who we expect to defend our country would be denied the right to hunt in it.

Okay guys, check this. If that weird law passed, and an 18 year old could shoot a gun only with an adult present, or have to be 21 to do so on his own, then what about beer? A beer is less deadly than a rifle, so lets make a law that says an 18 year old can drink if supervised, and he'd have to be over 21 to be trusted to drink on his own. Starts to sound strange when you consider the knock down power differences between beer and rifles, especially since drunk lasts a couple hours, but shot is something you get to keep forever. So if 18 and must be supervised to fire a rifle, then 18 and supervised seems right to enjoy a beer.
i would bet the odds of getting hit by a drunk driver are better than getting shot.If you ask someone who has been injured or had a family member lost to a d.d acident they'd disagree about the knockdown power. It all comes down to the supervision well before they are 18 or 21.Most of those who do shoot somone are drinking beer or some sort of substance.A can of beer setting in the fridge won't kill you just like my guns in the cabinet won't kill you.As Larry the cable guy said,if guns kill people you can blame the pencil for misspelled words. With the price gas going high they know they better get the guns away from everyone and this would be a start.
