Bass Pro Shop has a ad in the Feb. Bassmasters magazine for 5 of their hard baits for $5.00 with free shipping . Here is the link -

it is phone or web orders only . I called and it dosent start until Jan. 16 . I would imagine that it will sell out quick . For $1.00 per bait and free shipping you cant really go wrong .

Thanks for the tip. I can always use more crankbaits this coming fishing season.

I have this idea on how I'll take the back hook off some crankbaits and tie a short clear mono leader (flurocarbon) to them and then attack some small jigs to the leader.

Hopefully some crappie will hear or see the crank bait coming and hit it and if not the crank bait then they will take the jig that follows.

Just got off the phone with BPS after ordering the 5 baits . You have to order via phone - internet ordering isnt working . I got my 5 then had to call back to order some for my brother , only 1 order per household . They were going to be backordered but they came in while I was on the phone so BPS says they will arrive on Jan. 24th . Not that it matters , Im not going bass fishing any time soon brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr . Has anyone read the latest issue of Indiana Game & Fish ? There is a article about West Boggs and the shad issue . Near the end there is note of a DFW rumour of stocking wipers , mmm , I remember someone metioning that in a post here and getting shot down . I wonder.............
