You can actually send your reels back to Shimano and usually can get them fixed and cleaned and even have parts replaced. they USUALLY charge just a flat rate around $30 for each reel.

    Re: Shimano Reel Service????????

I called shimano this summer to get my reel serviced and they said 7 weeks to be back in my hand from the day shipped! I got it to The Reel Man and it was back in a week and felt brand new again. He's taken care of a few of my friends before as well. They were all pleased. His rate for just cleaning is about $15 or so.

I need some reels serviced too. I searched for The Reel Man on google and came up with Bill Fitzgerald - is this the right guy?
