Fished this past Sunday, started at a little before day light. Put in at the dam, warmed up engine and started to fish right at the dam. Within 10 minutes I had a spot about 2 lbs. Came off of lay down. That was the only cover that I found on the dam. Very heavy fog so I went idle over to the other side and began fishing all of the points from the dam to the mouth of beaver. Using a blue and chrome Zara Spook, fairley fast so they didn't have time to think about it. Caught several smallmouth in the 10-17" range, and 2 fish right at 18-1/2". The spots were very aggressive on a 4" jr white fluke with an occasional small-smallmouth. When the fog lifted and it became clear bluebird skies, I continued to fish the points with steep banks and shade. The bite never slowed down. Points with no shade wouldn't produce anything, atleast not on topwater. The backs of small cuts on the main lake were full of spots or ky's. Caught those on a 4" plum Zoom Shakey Head, and fluke. I saw a few stripers blow the surface but couldnt draw a strike. All in all it was a great day to be out fishing. Got a little windy at times but not real bad. I never threw a buzz-bait. Has anyone had any luck with them lately? Good luck and See Ya on the water!
