Good report. Were you fishing from the bank or from a boat?
Thx!

Just came off the river by Harrison Ave ramp. If you like catching fish on every other cast, now is the time to goThrow a white curly tail jig and let it sink to the bottom with a very slow retrieve = sauger, drag it in as fast as you can = hybrid. Biggest sauger was 2lb, 9 ounces, hybrids were +/- 5 lbs. Man it was a fun afternoon, if only they could all be like that.

Ps. Also got to watch DNR drag a mini-van out of the river at the ramp. Be carefull.

I was in a boat (kayak) just across from the ramp on the Ky side. White twisty tail grubs on 1/8 ounce jig was doing it for the sauger, any type of shallow diving crankbait tossed into the frothy white-water was doing it for the bass. I heard that bank fishermen were catching sauger at the Falls.
Here is the funny part. I thought I would sweeten the grub a little bit with a nightcrawler and couldn't get a bite. Lost the crawler and was back in business. That's a first.
Correction: 1/4 ounce jig

Nice fish! Thanks for the report. The Hybrids and Skipjack are also very active at the hot water discharges. The catfishing was slow to fair today. We finshed second in a small torney out of Madison today with 5 fish at 54.4 lbs.
