I added the new stuff from the advertiser to make the page load faster.
Basically the discussion board content should load all the way before the ad in the event that the ad is slow in getting here.

Please let me know if works for you.

Well, I am at work and checked my subscriptions---which I deleted the other day, so now there is 0. But the site is still very slow. Any other ideas.

No ideas right now. Maybe somebody else will shed some light on it.

Depending on the browser......Look at the bottom left corner of part of the brower it will say opening page..........and you will see a url for something like ad.???????.???????.......maybe different.........THIS IS WHAT IS HANGING the site.......

You can get around it many ways.........the easiest is a loopback trick that I can tell you about, but I don't have it configured here......

I have it at home, and will post it tonight...........BUT this gets around the addserver stuff, and might cause issues with the site and sold ads...........Peter??

It looks like AD.OUTSIDEHUB.COM.........but I must admit, it is MONSTER fast compared to a couple days ago.........maybe Peter's fix actually does fix the hang, and your performance issue is else............HM.

Yes, it makes a big difference. Turning off Adblock used to really slow down the site for me. Now, even with my 299 subscriptions listed, it still loads quickly even with Adblock turned off. What the heck, I'll even add an exception rule now, so it won't block the ads from this site from now on. Good job, Peter

I am pretty sure that the board loads and then the ad. Yes the outside hub and adserver url may take a while but pretty sure you can navigate board and view before it loads. Kind of would like people to see the ads on the board. thanks for offering.
