I hadn't fished Tom Wallace much, since Miles is so much closer to us, but my girlfriend had foot surgery recently (ouch!), and Tom Wallace is a lot easier to access, so we've been going there lately, and doing very well, thank you. We've been having lots of success using minnows, and we've seen several other people doing well using corn or small rooster tails. Saw one guy catch five rainbows using a tiny little crawdad crankbait, and saw another guy who had a nice mess of channel cats he'd caught on chicken livers. It's really a nice little lake, with nice access, and plenty of spots to fish from. We caught nine today and yesterday, and are going back tomorrow to harvest a few more of those delicious little trout! Either lake would be a great place to take a kid. The access is pretty easy, and they're pretty likely to catch fish.
