    What's your best knot?

While their are many different types of knots which one can use to attach lures, what's is your choice and why? Which has the best strength, easy to tie in the dark, etc. ? Questions from an old man with bad eyes, ..........?

I go with the Palomar knot for attaching lures with both braid and mono. If I can't use the palomar knot like when tying the second line to a swivel, I use the improved clinch knot then.
I use to only tie the improved clinch knot, but the palomar is easier and my eye sight is not what it used to be.

Have to agree on the Palomar knot for overall strength and ease of tying in the dark or if you have bad eyes. Just don't forget to moisten the line before you cinch it down tight. I believe in this know 100 % and the line will break before the know will ever come undone.

Palomar On everything, and i find the trilene knot works best for me when attaching the leader to the second part of the swivel.

Palomar knot on everything except when using 4# Trilene SensiThin, and then I use a Trilene knot.
This URL has been posted many times before, but I may as well throw it out there again.

Oh and I use the Palomar on both parts of the swivel when tying leaders, or at least when I remember to tie leader on before the main line :-)

Palomar for braid and mono, the improved cinch or triline knot on flor, I found that the palomar causes floro to break easy, due to when you pinch the line to thread thru the lure.

Tie your leader to the swivel first ...then tie it to your main line.

I've always wondered why people say they can't tie two palomars on one rig.
I too tie to the swivel first and then to the main line.

Palomar is also a good knot for drop-shotting. Just tie on the hook and leave an extra long tag end, and tie the weight on the end using a "sacrifice" knot - square knot or something that'll give under a lot of pressure, so if you get hung up you'll just lose the sinker.
