Depends on where and how you want to use it. My buddy has one and he watches the fish bite on his lure while ice fishing and even saves the vieo to an SD card and watches his own "fishing". The deeper the lakes, the tougher to use.

I have had the aqua view for about 4 years.
They are very fun to use and I have enjoyed the times that I have taken it out and actually played with it. It is great for dropping down in brush piles and looking at the fish. Crappie are easy to find and see, bass seem to be more difficult but I have seen a few.
Only problem is that I can spend hours playing and searching and watching and not get in any fishing.
Just depends what you are wanting and expecting.
I have the Aqua View jr. It's realy cool to drop down and see the structure and the lay of the land so to speak. You will be blown away at what little it takes to hold a fish.
dicks sporting good has one for $99.99 naturevision inc.. it might be worth it to you? i have the aqua jr $150 on sale. have only used it three times. had fun with it, but take to much time from fishing.
