I went and looked at the Ohio river in SDF today. Man, it's a rollin' wave of mud. Harrison Ave boat ramp is closed (no surprise there). Doesn't seem like we've had that much rain? Oh well.

I am a displaced mountaineer. i grew up in chas but my grandparents lived in fayetteville. i grew up fishing summersvile, new river and bluestone. let me know if you are ever coming this way for fishing trips in the region! enjoy the new, there is really nothing like it. i remember many days in my high school years fishing and swimming in the new. wow that was a long time ago!

Went to Green River Lake Tuesday - should have stayed at home... It was just too nice of a day to pass up. Second cast of the day finesse fishing a little jig, I get hung, give it a little jerk and SMACK, my rod breaks right in half. Not just a rod, my favorite rod. It's about a 10 year old shimano stimula. I pray I can find another one. Lost a whole pack of eakins jig - fished everything and everywhere with not even a bite. Very frustrating on the fishing end, so I road around the lake for a while, found a nice little cove and just kicked back and relaxed and praised the Lord for a beautiful day on the water.
yeah what mhall said,i have also gave info to some by post or pm or mail, wether it was good or not who knows,i'm a darn good fisherman, just don't catch much.
sometimes when i am bored i post alot, but then i think maybe someone is settin there goin, man does he have to reply to every post?is he a know it all or what.plus sometimes when there is one reply it may not need any more input,it may be that dang good.and i figure if i know it everyone else already does too....since i don't get to fish 3 or 4 days a week anymore the post on here have sometimes really cut down on my unproductive fishin time when i just go at the spur of the moment.
Good post birdstrike. If you're reading this, take a moment to give a fishing report. The number of views VS the number of posts here is unreal. I know a lot of people say they are just here to watch and learn, but there is always someone who can benifit from your input, if you are willing to give. I made a post, "The Ohio River is Hot", not long ago and I know a good 100 fishermen hit the river after reading it. Every one of you should have given your 2cents after fishing. Let's all participate. Give as good as you get, for everyone's sake!
Steve
