I dont know where you are, but on US 127 just south of Russell Springs (around Cumberland) there is a BP/Bait shop that is awesome. They have tons of jigs, silver buddys, cranks, plastics. Anything you need.
Second that, Lake Country Outdoors under new management and extremely customer friendly. Last time I was in there they had been run out of shiners and they called around until they found us some.
If you can find a true Silver Buddy you need to buy it. The inventor of the bait passed away last year and they are not sure if the company will stay in business.
Borders in Ashland Ky carries these baits in many different sizes as well as in silver and gold.

Like mentioned in the first page; WE have them here at Angles Outpost & Marine! They are The Original Silver Buddy, only with a saltwater hook. They have had a lot of succes with them in saltwater as well.
We do have them and we will ship them to you if you are having trouble finding them.
I have 16 of the 1/4 oz silver at my bait shop, only ones left that I have been able to find. Its Matt's Bait & Tackle in Liberty Ky. The number is 6067870011 or 6063031130 is my cell
Close but not quite... The inventor is still alive and fishin. He has been a family friend for 20 years. He gave the business to his son a few years back and it is the son that died. However the son had pretty much given it up before he died. He had listed all the molds for sale in the Ashland Independant with no takers. I am fairly certain the molds ended-up in the landfill. After the son died there was a little confusion over who owned what but I assume that got fixed since someone else is using the name now.If you can find a true Silver Buddy you need to buy it. OK a little update for those of you dedicated to the Silver Buddy...
I was at the parents for Christmas and got some details. The original inventor was a guy in northern OH named Lucky something. He made the Silver Lucky. Buddy made some changes and produced the Silver Buddy as you all know it. Buddy is now making some again in FL. He sent my Dad a handfull of the new ones. The ones you see at Backwaters with the Silver Buddy name hand engraved into the side look exactly like the ones he sent Dad so I guess those are being made by Buddy. The current version has different hooks from the original. I think they are referred to as the "saltwater hooks".
I have no idea how many he is making or how many he intends to make.
