Bullfrog Creek is still open? I thought it closed a while back. Cool.
Also check with Steven Headrick at Punisher Lures. Yes the Silver Buddy is a great one, you might also ck around the bank on lake Cumberland I know I have several down there, now that the water is low might find one or two, lol.
you may try quick stop in celina tn. Go to punisher lures, and they have a web site, and they will also ship them to you. The heddon sonar is almostas good, or you may need to try ther cicadia type of that bait, theyare all similar, my favorite, the spin rite is getting impossible to find also.
This may substitute for a spinrite. I've never used this site myself, so can't vouch for them.you may try quick stop in celina tn. I'm leary of One Stops blade bait. They cut the hook eye to put the hook on the blade and then pinch it closed again. I've personally been using Bass Pros XPS Lazer Blade lately. It's ok but the chrome wears off to the brass blade quicker than I'd like.
I think I'll try this site for my next order. They have a great selection of colors at a good price. Their blade bait is called Lit'l Nitro.

yeah those are almost exact copies of the spin rite thanks, now to find out how to order them
There is a cheap knock-off that looks exactly like a Silver Buddy called the Lit'l Nitro. Do an online search to find retailers or look on e-Bay. Several shops sell them there for around $1.25 each. I have not fished them yet, but a friend has and claims he can't tell the difference.
Joe
Bass Pro has Gay Blades, they are just as good
A buddy of mine makes them a kind of a sonar bait ,We tear up the sauger & Hybrid Stripes on them in the Ohio
Does anyone have a preference on the hole selection on the Lit'l Nitro/Gay Blade? I haven't fished it enough to figure out which one the fish like most. Just kind of wondering what everyone else thinks...
I run it on the middle hole. I can vertical jig it fine or get a nice wobble if I'm casting and retrieving it. Those afre the only two ways I fish it. If you use the back hole, it stands on its nose when you retrieve it. If you use the front hole, it comes in more horizontal with less wobble. I'm sure there are time when running on a different hole is better, just haven't played around with it enough. Maybe some others can share how they fish it differently.
Here's a better description from Heddon Sonar:
The front hole, for shallow running and high vibration. The rear hole produces deep running and a wide, slower, wobbling action. The center hole is perfect for jigging, a technique especially effective for ice fishing.

I have used some of the "knock off 's" and have had good success with them. Last fall, for example, my fishing buddy and I caught 21 consecutive nice kentucky's off of a point in Ky. Lake. He was using a Yo-Zuri lipless lure and me the Silver Buddy knock off. Caught several others on it last fall also.
Eyeballing the bank is not a bad idea. Lol. Nothing quite like a Silver Buddy.
They have some at the Cain Pole in Richmond. Also Billy's Great Outdoors it's new it's in the old building Pittsburg marine use to be in which is across from the one now in London. When you find em you better buy them all.
