I think in terms of fishing, Ky or Barkley is hard to beat for year round fishing. The prices on Barkley are a little more reasonable than Ky, and it is a little easier to be more secluded if that is what you are looking for. I haven't fished a lake in Kentucky that I would not like to live on, especially if you are right on the water.

My pick would be Nolin. It too is a great multi-species lake, and with the relaxation part you would have to weigh in the possible less traffic on the waterthat is a constant on the larger bodies.
