My best advice is to pretend like you're bass fishing and you should get plenty of muskie action. If you really want to get bit just tie on one of you're favorite crankbaits or spinnerbaits. You're not gonna catch many but you'll get plenty of action. In all seriousness, at this time of year your best shot at lining up a trophy musky is to get a reputable guide that is on top of the pattern. I haven't been out on the lake since August.
