Talking I've gotta go to Dale!!!

Allright I can't stand it anymore. I haven't been to Dale in 15 years so here goes nothin. Headed down to fish it on Sat and Sun. Just wondering which ramp should I use? I'll be comming through Burkesville. I've heard some of the ramps are a little rough with this low water. Any help will be appreciated and will post results. If any of you are out there and see a white and blue skeeter with WV tags come on over and say hi.

You'll be putting in at the gravel at the the end of the ramps on pretty much all of them. Holly creek is probably the best but it's long and shallow so putting in by yourself (if you are) would be a pain. Hendricks ramp is good as long as you use the steeper ramp that's right up against the dock but your putting into 2' of water. The state dock is useable but the end of the ramp has drop off and the slab of concrete is tilted to one side so it's putting in at an angle and it's a really narrow lane to use. Good luck, the jig bite is on fire down there!

I will be at Dale on Dec. 18-21 and was wondering what ramps are usable due to the extremely low lake? I will be fishing down the lake a few days and up the lake the next few. So what ramps are open by the dam? How about Horse Creek, Pleasant Grove, Cedar Hill? And what about up the lake, is Sulphur Creek usable?

    Any info is greatly appreciated!
Don't know about cedar hill, but I launched out of horse creek two weeks ago with no problem and the smalljaw tourney launched there last week as well. Thomas, there at horse creek has commited to keeping his ramp behind the office useable all winter and is doing a great job of it. Just don't use the big motor to power load your boat and wash all the gravel out. He is really working hard to keep us a place to launch on the lower end. Monday or tuesday of this past week the corp also added a 40 foot slab of concrete onto the end of the ramp at pleasant grove, so it should be in great shape as well.

We put in at Hendricks on Thur and Fri with no problem, but it is shallow. Caught 8 on Thur. and 5 on Fri., but we left at 12 on Fri. One on fly the rest on shiners. Five were over 4 lbs with the biggest being 4 and a half. Can't wait to get back on Wed.
