Heading down in the am. Has anyone been this week? Just curious on the water conditions and the fish.

I was on the lake today (Friday) it was a beautiful day to be out there. Never did pattern the fish. Put in at Jamestown. My partner caught 2 nice fish. One smallie 5+ lbs. and one largemouth around 5lbs as well. Both caught on main lake, smallmouth on crankbait and largemouth caught on spinnerbait. No fish charted in creeks. Fish main lake on points and stay on the wind blown side you should fair pretty well. If we could go again I would stay on the main lake and throw crankbaits and spinners exclusively. Water was extremely clear. Good luck give a report when you return.

fished today around burnside area and only had two keepers one smallmouth pushing 4 lbs and one largemouth over 3lb. caught them cranking in the stained water with the breeze. really thought we would have done better cause the conditions and water clarity is just right for this time of year.

We thought the same thing. I thought the bite would be great. We started throwing the crank a little late and spent to much time in a creek. They are on the main lake and the crankbait and spinnerbait is the bait of choice. Good luck.
