I have Christmas money burning...do you use polarized sunglasses? Do they really help? What hue or hues would you get? Expensive or inexpensive brands? What about interchangeable lenses. Any help would be great. Thanks. Everyone have a Happy New Year.

I wouldn't go without them. You can't go wrong with Oakleys or Solar Bats.
Polarized Glasses are a MUST..........you don't need a $200.00 pair of glasses though. There are some FANTASTIC models for under $20.00.
From what I understand, the color of the lenses makes a difference, depending on what the outside weather is doing.........For BRIGHT, bluebird skies, I usually use DARK gray. For overcast days......I understand that AMBER is the best......

I wouldn't go without them either. I prefer the amber, but when it is really bright you may need a little more shade. I have had some expensive ones that were really nice, but I have also had some really good ones in the $20.00 range - It hurts alot less when you drop these in the lake or step on them.
Not sure if this is relevant, but I wear prescription glasses, and I've tried clipons, even pretty good ones ($20-30), but getting prescription sunglasses made a huge difference. Polarized is a must for seeing down into the water.
I started using them a few years ago and don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Bass Pro Shops makes a decent line, that averages around $25, depending on the rim style. Amber has been my choice. Can't see paying over alot for something that is inevitably going to make it to the bottom of the lake or trash can. Good luck!
Ebay, search for XLoop Polarized. They are cheap enough so I bought a couple of pairs. I stuck an extra pair in the tackle box and keep one in the boat. That way, when I punt them off the side of boat, it's only 6 bux... Give me a pair of glasses, and I guarantee they will find the bottom of some body of water.
Don't like going fishing without them.I like brown best as they are better in bright sunlight.

To me, blue polarized works on those real bright sunny days, and when it's overcast, I use a light brown/amber type lense. I use the cheaper Stirke King or Renegade at Wally World. I have owned $140 Solar Bats and the cheaper Solar bats that Wally world used to sell. To me, quite honestly, I can't really see the difference. They all worked real well.
I agree...the only thing i have seen is the fit can be better on some of the more expensive brands. I have lost several glasses while fishing and it doesn't hurt as bad when they are cheap. To me, blue polarized works on those real bright sunny days, and when it's overcast, I use a light brown/amber type lense. All post below offer some good advise. BUT for those of you wearing Pre-SCRIP lenses, remember you can get SCRIP sun glasses with P lenses. I love mine and they are bi-focal!
