I have had the 3 of the helium LTA's in the past. I am not very impressed with the warranty on the rods. They come with a (very) limited lifetime warranty that once you send the broke rod back to them, then they assess as to whether it was a blank malfunction or not, then they prorate the rod as to when it was purchased new (deductions start at about 60 days I think). One of my rods was 1 week old when it broke, another was about 10 weeks old when it broke, and the other was a couple of years old. After talking with the people at Kisler, I figured it was going to cost me roughly $300 dollars above shipping to get them replaced, so I decided to keep them in the corner of my gararge as a lessoned well learned about being more cautious about the rods that I purchase. I just feel that when you pay in excess of $800 for 3 rods (that were never abused) that the manufacturer should stand behind them unconditionally.
All of my rods now are Gloomis or Shimano and I in 4 years I have only broke the tip off of one loomis and broke one loomis cranking stick and it only cost me $40 to get them replaced.
just my 2 cents.
