Thanks again to everone for all your input. This current weather system had me in a holding pattern until this morning, but I have decided to go fish. I'll be driving to LC on Wednesday and plan on fishing at least on Thursday and Friday and maybe Saturday, weather permitting.
As far as Motels/lodging go, I decided to stay at the TimberPoint Lodge. Deciding factor was finding a place with a kitchen/kitchenette. FYI, all the places I checked were pretty competitive price wise;
*Timber Point Lodge, (Jamestown) Lodge room with kitchen $53.64, Motel room $40.00
*Pinehurst Lodge (Jamestown) Room with kitchenette $53.00, Single room $35.00
*Springs Motel (Russell Springs), Single room $40.00 (no kitchen facilities).
*Lake Cumberland State Park (Lure Lodge) $53.96 (no kitchen facilities)
*And as reported earlier, the "old" Jamestown Court (Jamestown) is closed.
*I didn't check with the Shilo Motor Inn (Russell Springs), but what ever it is worth, I understand it has changed ownership.
Good Fishing to all,

shilo wasnt good for me ....
Shilo used to be better until the new owners took over. It used to be cheap and clean. Now it stinks of curry. The large room could sleep 4 adults comfortable and had a fridge and kitchen.
The towels and sheets and just everything in the place stinks of curry.
We used to stay there but I will have to find a new place this spring.
