Is there any way to switch from the sponge handles to cork handles?
Kind of like replacing the grips on a golf club.

find a place who sells rod building supplies and buy the cork, cut off the sponge and glue the cork on.i think you have to measure the diameter of the rod blank.

Not sure how store bought cork comes packaged. Is it split or would you slide it up the handel?

+1 on the Magic Eraser. It just doesn't get any easier than this, and absolutely no mess to contend with.
