Hey.......

Sorry I didn't respond earlier........

You're right. All of us who go on this trip get along pretty good. You need to make sure the trip dynamics will WORK before you get there. If you don't everyone in the group gets short changed. I've been on a couple trips where the dynamics were not perfect, but those seemed to work out ok also.

Bottom line, when you spend 10 days in the woods with someone, you'd BETTER really know them. You are a TEAM, and must work as a TEAM. Lots of chores to complete, cooking, cleaning fish, gathering wood, etc, etc. Everyone generally pitches in, and things work like clockwork.

I've been on 13-14 trips up there, and everyone is different. Sometimes, we have FANTASTIC fishing........other times, not so good. BUT even a HORRIBLE day up there is better than most GREAT days here. I've had 30 or 40 fish days, and some really poor cold front days, where we've only caught 10 or so.........AND I've had days where 2 guys catch 100+ smallies.

One of my best days up there, GadgetMan and I caught over 100 smallies, with Most over 2lbs, MANY over 3 and a few over 4, pushing 5. I've not caught a 5 up there yet, but some in our group have caught the over 6.

I've caught LOTS of walleye, some decent northern pike, some largemouth, and TONS of smallies........ALSO, I've started to target lakers, and am getting better at catching them.

You asked what I do......I work in the IT industry, as a DBA for a major company in Louisville.

Later,

Geo
