Fished 9:00-15:00 today - lower end and lots of wind! water was clear with exception of windy banks that had a 2-3ft mudline from wave action. saw only one other boat all day. boated 6 and missed another 6 - 2 broke off and 4 short strikers. biggest was 5# smallmouth and then a 4.25 largemouth. the other 4 were short but very plump smallies - no spots at all (to my surprise). fish caught on float n fly, shaky head and jigs. heading back out thurs am for a short trip before leaving town. nice to have 70 degree temps in jan to fish!!!! I have said it several times already, with the corps holding the water at a steady level, the fishing just gets better and better at Big C! this spring is gonna be awesome!!! And yes, there have been some very big sacks weighed in lately in the local tourneys. have some pics from last couple of trips but having trouble downloading them. good fishing to all.
