You can put on at the dam, brand new boat ramp! Just be carefull, there is a drop off if you back into the water very far. Just get out and look it over before you launch. Don't know about the stripers.
Good Luck!

I haven't been on this site for a while so I'd like to say hello to everyone again. It's been so long I had to reset my password cause I couldn't remember it. Anyway, getting to the point. Can you still put on at the dam on C-land? Are the stripers still in the creeks right now? I've heard they're in the upper 1/2 of the creeks. Haven't been on the Big C in probably 2 years so any help is appreciated.
I feel like I'm using ya'll, but I promise I'll post my results (or usual lack there-of)...lol! Thanks.
Take care,

Stripers should be from half way back in the creeks to all the way back. You have figure out which creeks may be producing the best. I have went to a creek and got skunked and then move to another creek and got on them right away. I am going down on Jan 19 thru Jan 21 and looking for what creeks may have been producing better.
Water temps around 46 at Jamestown marina last night. 48 in the back of two creeks. Also muddy in the backs right now. Didn't even get a sniff last night.

Yeah, about picking the right creek...I picked the wrong one. Went way up Beaver Creek but couldn't find the fish. I probably would have tried Wolf but I lost a lot of time in the fog and then had to leave earlier than expected due to some last minute scheduling changes. Only thing caught a nice channel cat (probably 10 lbs) jigging a spoon under some baitfish. Hopefully I'll get a chance to try again before summer. Thanks again.

Fished this weekend and agree with the other posts. We went to the end of Lilly Creek-muddy, leaves, floating sticks until you get close to the launch ramp. Started pulling board at the ramp and worked our way towards the main lake without any success. Marked very few fish. Decided to change creeks and went to Wolfe Creek and from the mouth of Dudley Creek to the no wake markers at Alg. II--marked lots of baitfish, all over this area. We caught 3 stripers (28", 32",33" long) Sunday within 75 yards of the bank--no luck in the middle of the creek (even though we saw a lot of baitfish). Did not see much surface activity-"jumps." With the recent rain, the water is stain to muddy a various parts of the creeks. Caught the fish about 20 feet deep. I hope this helps.
