    How is Barren

    Me and a buddy are thinking about going down to barren here in a couple of days and was just wanting to know what the fish are doing.Where are they holding?Biting?Depth range etc

    don't know first hand but heard of some catching 10-15 keepers thu, fri, after the rains, in the murky to stained water. Water warmed up to 50 degrees up from the lower 40s and the fish turned on. Cranks, spinners, jigs, take your pick.

    Course I'm sure that's all changed by now, with it turning colder again, and this info is pretty useless.

    If you are planning on fishing Barren you may want to head up into the heads of the creeks right now if you want some decent looking water to fish. I know for a fact the water around the islands, narrows, and water plant is very muddy. Its not just stained its muddy, you may be able to find some slightly stained water somewhere just be planning on heading up in your favorite creek may be you only choice.

    thanks for the info...we were prolly guna hit some of our deep holes around the narrows and dam and then run into the creeks if no luck deep
