I Agree That The Next State Record Will Probably Come Out Of A Farm Pond....i Know That Several Of My Largest Big Mouth Have! With The Exception Of The 11.7 I Caught In July @ The Peabody Wildlife Reserve Near Beaverdam Ky! It Was A Haus! Got To Love The Red Shad Culprits!
Since you have never heard about fishing the prespawn bass here in the mustard (yellow flowers) you might consider contacting Four Rivers Explorer Magazine which is a local lakes area magazine here and see if you can get a back copy of of last April's issue. Those Peabody pits produce some big bass for sure....too bad many of them are being sold off and many of them are not going to be accessable to the public now. I caught some really nice bass out of them years ago.

There are a number of small honey hole type ponds around the state..most of them on private land that hold some really nice fish. As far as major public access lakes in the state Ky/Barkley is hands down the best for producing numbers of LM and although it is not Dale Hollow as far as numbers, we do have some nice S.M. here.
