Yes that is good we haven't been attacked since 9/11 - but any person in their right mind would have raised national security following those events, so I am not crediting Bush with "not being attacked," Give it a few years - Bush's legacy will be that he was the worst president in modern history - at least the last 100 years. Don't get me wrong - I am not anti-republican, we have had some outstanding republican presidents - Bush, however, is not one of them.

I HAVE TO SAY, IT WOULD BE EASY TO CLEAR OUR NATIONAL DEFICIT IF WE RAISED TAXES, REDUCED MILITARY AND DID NOTHING TO SECURE OUR NATION,(DOING NOTHING COSTS VERY LITTLE). AS FOR W.M.D.'S....EVERYONE RECEIVED THE SAME INTELLIGENCE THAT BUSH DID AND MAJORITY AGREED TO INVADE IRAQ. THE QUESTION IS NOW, DO WE CUT AND RUN (DEMS) OR STAY AND WIN (REPS). AS FOR, "ANYONE IN THE RIGHT MIND RAISING NATIONAL SECURITY AFTER 9/11".....YA....HOWEVER THE DEMS ARE AGAINST THE METHODS THAT HAVE DONE JUST THAT, IE: PATRIOT ACT, INTERREGATION OF CAPTURED TERRORISTS AND TAKING THE FIGHT TO THE TERRORISTS. THESE ARE THE THINGS THAT HAVE KEPT US FREE FROM ANOTHER ATTACK ON U.S. SOIL......THINGS THAT A DEM PRESIDENT WOULD NOT HAVE DONE. I BELIEVE BUSH'S LEGACY WILL LOOK A LITTLE SOMETHING LIKE THIS....
A PRESIDENT WHO STOOD UP AGAINST OPPOSITION TO SECURE A NATION AFTER ONE OF IT'S LARGEST ATTACKS IN HISTORY. HAGD!
