Just a quick note on private schools. I have visited and toured a great deal of schools and was part of a state school improvement team a few years ago. I would stay very involved with your private school. I have seen some outstanding private schools, but have also seen some poorly ran private schools (these were very popular schools too). Private schools are not held to the same strict standards (student performance, assessments, teacher and administrative standards) as public schools, therefore they can appear better. Regardless of public or private - schools won't be successful without supporitive parents - so stay involved. DJD - I have spent time in all the private schools in Lex. and they are all good schools.
