    Cedar Creek question

I fished Cedar Creek for the first time last summer. Caught a couple of decent largemouth. What intimidated me about the lake was the sheer amount of standing timber. I'm used to fishing Cumberland and Dale Hollow, so the timber threw me for a loop. What are some good approaches to identifying good spots on this lake? Thanks for any info.

    Re: Cedar Creek question

I have fished cedar 3 times and every time it is like fishing the median on I-75. I get burned out quick on people who run wide open right up beside you and pull in on a bank not 50 yards in front of you. I think cedar is racetrack and not a fishing lake. On the third trip Iwas taking out and the game warden was puttin in in a 14 foot john boat and I told him he was a brave sole.I know lakes are crowded and to each his own ,but Idon't think most people like to get washed up on the bank from the few x0*&^ out there.

I have never seen the likes of the common jerks down there who cut you off on banks and wash the crap out of you when youre trying to fish. I guess cause its small and there's alot of fishermen trying to get on a few spots. But courtesy and class is not something I have ever seen on CC.. its a real shame, because its a great little lake. But unless you can go on a weekday, forget it.

Cajun the key is make sure your standing up in the boat and make long pitches with your baits-They seem to stay away from you-- its looks like you know what you are doing--It does help for real--gl to you

Standing up don't work biggw. I was fishing the same spot me and you were on the 150 roadbed back in the summer and a boat pulled in so close I could have flipped my jig in his shirt pocket.

i havent fished cedar yet but it sounds simular to taylorsville with all of the traffic. i have been fishing t-ville for twenty years and every time i have a bad expeience i say im not going back but i guess i like the abuse. its just one of those things you have to cope with.

I've got it so bad that I drove down there Monday to just look around. The main lake is clear but the creeks are frozen. I may go Monday
