Any tackle there?
From looking at the list of vendors unless you want a pontoon or bigger boat or high dollar bass boat not much to choose from unless you want to look at all the other crap out there.
Thanks.........Larry

If your going for fishing tackle I wouldn't waste my time. Not hardly any at all. Mostly big boats and Atv dealers and campers. It is not what it used to be. There was more big go fast boats there than I can remember in the past.
I enjoyed the show last year & bought some tackle. The wife and I are going again this year. But you know the old saying "different strokes for different folks"!

I went yesterday and did find some new ideas. One was a Neversnag hook you can put on crank baits. The only thiing I bought was a fishing license, but I did see a couple of boats to consider.

Hasnt been worth going to in years as far as im concerned. Saved my money for the Strader show, but it is fast becoming a giant flea market.
im not quite thrilled about either show boat or the strader
Very little tackle this year. But i usually just go to book my spring trip, buy my liscence and drool over bassboats i cant afford.Jay yelas was a very nice guy....Still dont understand why you have to pay 9 bucks to be advertised to but oh well, just glad spring aint to far away.
I agree with most. Not so much tackle. However, I will continue to go as long and the moment the kids see the Ad on TV they beg to go. I love the chance to share the love of fishing and boating with the kids in the dead of winter. My daughter (10) hit all three rings in the kids casting pool. I would not trade that feeling for anything on earth.
That being said. If it weren't for the family, I would skip.
As much as I would like it to be, it is not the bassboat and bass fishing show. As an overall recreation and boat show, it is pretty impressive.
It was not as good as before. Not much tackle or much fishing related stuff, unless you were looking to book guides. A lot of this "time sharing stuff". If any one wants to attend a great outdoors show go the the BASSMASTER Classic, it is free and worth it. All the others seem to be keyed more to the play crowd and the very rich, the L ville show was really a big disapointment to me this year.
I went saturday with the kids. I was not impressed at all. The kids loved it. I think they got on every BIG boat there was to get on. Wore me out, but they had a blast. We were there 7 hours. If the kids weren't with me I would have been in and out in 2 hours. I thought the Dock Dogs were really interesting to watch. The kids loved the wake boarding expo. We sat & listened to Jay Yelas, heck of a nice guy, & very interesting seminar. All & all, if not for the kids enjoying it so much, it wasn't worth it.
