Went for awhile Sunday and managed only two sauger. They were nice ones though, one 17 inch and another close to 18 inches. The only thing was the pressure, good Lord man. I caught one and was decended upon like buzzards after a dead cow. I had 4 people in my kitchen and I mean fast, lol. Second fish caught and it actually got worse. I moved, I can't stand that paylake feel, too crowed for me. In one area I counted over 40 people and 16 boats within a 200 yard radius. Yes this was where the sauger were too, almost made me feel sorry for the fish, lol. A poor sauger doesn't have a chance down there, lol. I did meet and talk to a couple of nice fellas from this site though. Nice to meet a couple of fella fishin.com'er's. If you go take lots of leadheads with curly tail grubs in white and chartruese. Oh and plenty of patience, LOL. Do you remember in the original Jaws movie where all the locals went out to catch the shark....... Well there you go, there is your mental image of the Falls sauger run.
