I'd pick Barren hands down. I start in early April fishing up the river with large twister tails and sassy shads. Chicken liver, night crawlers and crawfish work also. Then in late April early May go to the lower end and parallel the banks with shallow running cranks, redfins and top waters at night. By Memorial Day I'm usually catching them in the jumps on top waters, around the Hogs Back, Baileys Point and the Islands, early in the morning and late in the afternoons. This usually lasts on into June. On into the summer lots are caught trolling, on spoons and fishing crawfish at night. Just stop at Ranger Bobs at the dam and they'll steer you in the right direction. Good Luck.
