Has anyone been able to do any ice-fishing? Some of the Indiana boys at work have talked about having ice thick enough, but I haven't been able to get away from work to try it here on the 'right' side of the river.
NO THANKS...I FAVOR LIFE! TRIED TO STEP OUT ON A POND THE OTHER DAY AND ENDED UP WITH A WET BOOT! NO THICK ENOUGH...AT LEAST DOWN HERE IN WARREN COUNTY....HAGD!
Tried to do some Ice fishing But....... By the time I broke the ice enough to launch the boat I was to tired to continue. LOL. I'll pass on the hard water. Seems too boring to sit in one spot all day. But I guess if all of the water was frozen then I would do whatever to get a line wet, and get out of the house. Good luck in your frozen adventures.
Does breaking through a layer of ice to net some minnows from a bucket count as "ice fishing?"
I would say that here in central Ky that would count. Probably not a good ided the try to ice fish here. I don't know of a lake that has Ice all the way across it, other than farm ponds.
We were out the other day on the ice( 14") did ok with bluegills and two walleyes. fishing on the ice isn't too bad if you dress warm enough and take a grill along for a on water lunch, no shore lunch here. ice should go out the early part of march.come on up. lunge1 in wisconsin
